Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Expertise in network architecture, advanced troubleshooting, and vendor-specific technologies will be crucial in driving our network infrastructure forward and our customer. Duties and Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale, enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and data centre networks. Knowledge in wifi heatmap. Lead the planning, configuration, and implementation of network hardware, software, and protocols. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations. Monitor network performance, traffic, and security to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, or performance degradation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices. Conduct network capacity planning and provide recommendations for network expansion and scalability. Configure and optimise network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network appliances. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in network engineering to propose innovative solutions and improve network performance. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise in network engineering. Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to network infrastructure. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, diploma or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a T3 network engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on network architecture and advanced troubleshooting. Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs. Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Extensive experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, meraki, Fortinet, checkpoint, Juniper, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks. Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, centreon, or Wireshark. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
