JOB DETAILS Hire Date : ASAP Position Type : Full-time, Exempt Location: Remote - HQ Lakeland, FL Reports to: Co-CEO Benefits : Health/dental/vision insurance, 401k program with employer match, generous time off, dog-friendly office, fun work environment AgAmerica is seeking an exceptional Head of Sales & Business Development to lead its national agricultural mortgage lending platform through its next phase of growth. AgAmerica built a recognizable brand, strong operational infrastructure, and proven lending track record over its decade-plus history. The opportunity is to assemble a best-in-class sales organization capable of generating substantial qualified loan volume through data-driven execution, targeted strategic partnerships, and outstanding talent development. The ideal candidate is a builder, coach, and operator who combines expertise in mortgage lending, credit, and agricultural finance with a demonstrated ability to transform, scale, and lead sales organizations. They understand the durable processes necessary to create sustainable growth. This individual is motivated by the opportunity to address the growing needs of the American farmer and the evolving agricultural finance market. This leader will conceive and execute a national sales strategy, establishing a balance between an internal sales engine and external referral networks. They will recruit and develop a high-performing team that is capable of quality lead generation. They will utilize KPIs to create transparent accountability. While this leader is capable of individual deal sourcing in the early build-out phase, success will ultimately be evaluated based on team-driven production outcomes. This role is designed for a transformational leader who wants to build an enduring sales and business development organization, not simply maintain an existing one. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SALES LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Lead and grow AgAmerica ’s national sales organization. Develop and execute a strategic plan to accelerate agricultural mortgage originations, prioritizing geographies, commodities, and client profiles based on value proposition. Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing sales talent. Mentor future sales leaders through active coaching. Design organizational structure, market segmentation, and incentive compensation to achieve defined performance outcomes. Identify new product opportunities. Foster a culture of professionalism, entrepreneurship, and accountability. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & REFERRAL PARTNERSHIPS Collaborate with marketing to promote the brand and enhance market penetration. Represent AgAmerica across external channels. Seek and encourage active engagement with leaders throughout the industry. Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and influencers including correspondent lenders, advisors, brokers, farm managers, trade associations, financial institutions, attorneys, and accountants, among others. Expand referral-based origination channels across the agricultural ecosystem to complement direct outside sales efforts. DATA-DRIVEN SALES MANAGEMENT Standardize sales architecture utilizing best practices and repeatable processes. Infuse CRM utilization, pipeline management, and reporting frameworks into the team’s day-to-day operating rhythms to enable data-informed feedback loops. Drive team accountability and cross-functional awareness through KPI dashboards. Benchmark sales activity metrics, conversion rates, and referral source throughput.
