The Associate position on the CVS Health Ventures (CVSHV) Market Development team is a highly ana lytical role sitting at the intersection of venture investing, corporate strategy, and portfolio value creation. In this role, you will help CVSHV stay closely connected to CVS Health’s evolving strategic priorities, deepen our team’s relationships across the enterprise, support portfolio companies in navigating and partnering with CVS Health, and contribute to high-priority strategic projects, and investment thes e s . This individual might also support diligence for investments as need and opportunity arise, however this is not primarily a direct investment role. The role requires someone who is highly curious, experienced in healthcare, thrives in a mbiguity , and excellent at building relationships. The st rongest candidates know how to develop a point of view , prioritize what matters, and take ownership for driving work through to execution . About the Team At CVS Health Ventures, we invest in and partner with companies with the potential for technology-enabled innovation and disruption in healthcare. Our goal is to enable promising entrepreneurs to scale more quickly and effectively through access to our unmatched enterprise capabilities and consumer touch points, while offering expertise and insights from CVS Health's unique perspective. The Market Development team plays a critical role in achieving CVSHV’s dual objectives of optimizing financial returns and advancing enterprise strategy through our investments. This team fosters growth within our existing portfolio companies by facilitating collaboration with internal business teams and venture capital funds , while providing strategic guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives . Additionally, Market Development enhances enterprise value across various business lines through insight generation, strategic support, and seamless orchestration of high value connections. Core Responsibilities: Enterprise Engagement & Strategic Intelligence: Dr ive the day-to-day dire ction of CVSHV’s engagement s tr ategy wi th CVS Health business team s , guid ing our t eam’s approach to relationship coverage, staffing, engagement tracking, and follow-through Develop a strong understanding of CVS Health’s strategic priorities, organizational dynamics, and key initiatives through ongoing engagement with internal stakeholders , and tr ansl at e th at infor mation into re levant insights for br oader tea m Support select ed special projects for CVSHV and executive leaders (e.g., in vestment committee and bo ard-level materials) Portfolio Strategy & Value Creation: Evolve and optimi ze our portf olio value creati on model to i dentify recurring needs across companies and formalize repeatable programs, resources, and approaches to address them Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders , conne ct ing portfolio companies and relevant CVS Health st akehol ders w here there are mut ual benefit s and potential for strategic par tnership P artnering with senior leaders on the CVSH Ventures team , d rive in -d epth portfolio reviews, and develop insights on portfolio performance, strategic value, and opportunities to create additional valu e D irec tly s upport portfol io gr owth for sel ect companies, building relationships with management teams and contributing to strategic support and financial analysis Strategic Projects, Theses & Investment Support: Lead market and thesis development projects in support of CVS Health strategic
