Assistant Chief Engineer What this job involves: Serve as an engineering leader at JLL! The Assistant Chief Engineer oversees the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also leading the engineering team. Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday What your day-to-day will look like: Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, curtainwall, and building management systems. Under the Chief Engineer’s direction, supervise and direct contractors and monitor performance Assist the Chief Engineer in the formulation and implementation of the preventive maintenance program Assist the Chief Engineer in training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the engineering team Maintain work order system and complete any tenant service requests Respond effectively to all emergencies Communicate effectively to the client and building occupants/tenants Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts Comply with all safety procedures Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs Other projects and tasks to be assigned On-site presence required Complete job description available on JLL's internal portal Required qualifications: 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable Leadership and/or supervisory experience Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneeling, lift and/or drive Strong customer service and communication skills This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Expected compensation for this position: 97,769.00 – 101,920.00 USD per year Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
