Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Pathology Support Team Lead to join our team in Shelton, CT . Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30am-5pm) one Saturday a month Job Responsibilities Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Pathology department Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Encourage process improvements and best practices Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Resolve any production errors as requested by management Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures Perform administrative duties as needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3 years or more of pathology experience Preferred Qualifications 2 years or more of transcriptionist experience 1 year or more supervising or leading a team Additional Job Standards Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office programs Ability to work independently and within a team environment High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
